Guns N’ Roses Experience revs up St Austell’s Keay Theatre

The amps go up, the guitars come out, and for one Friday night in September, St Austell gets the full Sunset Strip treatment.

The Guns N Roses Experience arrives at The Keay Theatre on Friday 25 September, bringing a two-hour set built entirely around the songs that made Guns N’ Roses one of rock’s most notorious acts. Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O’ Mine, Paradise City, November Rain, Nightrain, Mr. Brownstone and You Could Be Mine are all on the setlist, alongside Rocket Queen and Knocking On Heaven’s Door.

New management, same attitude

The band is entering a new chapter. All five members have taken over their own management and future direction, moving the business side in-house. On stage, though, nothing is changing. The Guns N Roses Experience says there is no intention of taking the foot off the gas, and the full-volume, high-octane show that has built its reputation stays exactly as it is.

That reputation has been built on the road. Since their first gig, the band has toured the Middle East, mainland Europe, Cyprus, Ireland and every major UK venue, recreating what the original Guns N’ Roses looked and sounded like at the height of their notoriety.

Five musicians, one sound

Behind the leather, the bandanas and the top hat are five accomplished musicians in their own right. Each brings individual experience and technical ability to the stage, and together they aim for something more than a straightforward tribute act turning up to play the hits and go home. The goal is precision married to raw energy, recreating the Guns N’ Roses sound while keeping the swagger that made the real thing so unforgettable live.

The band’s guitarist is one of the details it points to with pride: the only tribute act guitarist officially supported by Marshall Amps, the same amplifier brand associated with Slash himself.
