Cornwall Airport Newquay has laid out where it can take you in 2026, and for most of the map the news is good. Up to 19 destinations at peak season, sun routes that carry on through the winter, and a ski city pencilled in for the new year. There is one line on that map, though, that will not be there next summer.

Up to 19 destinations at peak season

The airport published its route network this week as part of its Focus Friday series, alongside a map of every line running out of Newquay in 2026. The claim it leads with is a simple one. Up to 19 destinations across the UK and Europe at the height of the season, from what it calls a proper local airport.

The map spreads wider than most people probably realise. North to Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle. Across to Belfast City, Dublin and the Isle of Man. Down to London Stansted and London Gatwick, out to the Isles of Scilly with Skybus, and then across the Channel to Düsseldorf, Geneva, Zürich, Faro, Málaga, Alicante and Tenerife.

Not all of it runs all year. A key in the corner of the airport’s route network map splits the destinations into all year round, summer only and winter only, and marks Manchester, Dublin and London Gatwick as onward connection hubs. Nine of the routes are domestic. The airport also notes that the map is for reference only and is not to scale, which anyone squinting at the position of Tenerife will have worked out already.

The Gatwick service reaches its last summer

Tucked into the end of the announcement is the part regular users will notice. This summer brings the final easyJet service between Newquay and London Gatwick.

The airport gives no date for the last flight, saying only that it happens this summer. Gatwick is still marked on the 2026 map as an onward connection hub, so the route is running for now. A London link does survive either way, because London Stansted continues year-round with Ryanair.

Stretching the summer out

For anyone chasing the heat rather than mourning a route, three southern options run past the school holidays.

Faro carries on with Ryanair until October 2026. Málaga and Alicante are year-round Ryanair routes, so the Spanish coast stays within reach of Newquay in February as well as August. And Tenerife returns with MT Holidays in March 2027, a winter route that sits on the map with a snowflake beside it rather than a sun.

City breaks, and the flight that connects to America

The short-break routes are where the network does most of its work.

Manchester runs year-round with Loganair, up to six times a week, which makes it the busiest link on the board. London Stansted is year-round with Ryanair. Belfast City runs with Aer Lingus for the rest of August. Düsseldorf continues with Eurowings until October 2026, and Zurich with Edelweiss until September 2026.

Dublin is the interesting one. Ryanair flies it year-round, and Aer Lingus flies it until October 2026, with what the airport describes as seamless onward connections to the USA. In practice that means a Cornish departure and an American arrival without ever setting foot in a London terminal.

If you have had enough of the heat

The airport admits the county has taken more than its share of heatwaves this year, and points anyone of the same mind towards the mountains. Geneva returns with easyJet in January and February 2027.

Travel ideas for the other end of each route are collected on the airport’s own destination blogs, which cover what to do once you land.

As for Gatwick, the airport has put no date on the last departure. It says only that it happens this summer, and summer has a few weeks left in it.
