Overnight Closures and Disruptions Planned for A30 in January 2024

Scorrier to Boxheater, Cornwall – The A30 between Scorrier and Boxheater will experience temporary overnight closures in January 2024, affecting both weekdays and weekends. These closures are part of essential maintenance and improvement works.

Weekday Closures: From Monday, January 8 to Wednesday, January 10, the A30 will be closed overnight, starting at 8 pm and concluding by 6 am. The closures will primarily focus on surfacing, central reservation work, and concrete wall preparation near Marazanvose.

Weekend Closure: A significant weekend closure is scheduled from Friday, January 12 at 8 pm to Monday, January 15 at 6 am. This closure will facilitate concrete wall preparation work near Chiverton, as well as drainage and maintenance work along the new A30 route.

Both sets of closures will span from Scorrier to Boxheater, with diversion routes available for standard vehicles via B3285, A3075, and B3277. Special longer diversions will be marked for HGVs and high-sided vehicles. Local access to and from the new Chiverton interchange will remain available throughout these closures.

Further closures are anticipated later in January 2024, including additional overnight closures from January 22 to January 26, and a full weekend closure from January 26 to January 29. Please note that these schedules are subject to change, and detailed information will be provided once confirmed.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, allowing extra time during these closures to ensure a safe and smooth commute.
