True Crime Talk ‘MURDER:STAGED’ Coming to Launceston Town Hall
Could You Get Away With Murder? Live Psychopath Test Hits Launceston
A true crime stage show featuring a live psychopath test is coming to Launceston Town Hall next month, promising an in depth look at how some murders are deliberately staged to mislead investigators.
True Crime Show Comes to Cornwall
MURDER: STAGED will take place on Saturday, 7th February 2026, running from 7.30pm to 9.50pm. The event follows the success of Crime Viral’s sell out UK serial killer tour and marks the first time this new show has been brought to the stage.
The talk is hosted by research psychologist and psychopathy expert Cheish Merryweather, who explores how crime scenes can be manipulated to deceive investigations.
Exploring Staged Murders
The show focuses on what is known as the ‘CSI effect’, where offenders become forensically aware and attempt to mislead police. During the evening, audiences will examine the lies embedded in crime scenes and investigate six types of stagers: The Planner, The Creator, The Cleaner, The Concealer, The Fabricator and The Inflictor.
The event features forensic analysis, reconstructed crime scene walkthroughs and deep dives into some of the darkest real life cases.
Live Psychopath Test on the Night
Audience members will also take part in a live psychopath test. The show explores the idea that 90 percent of people believe they could get away with murder, with the test offering a chance to see how the room measures up.
