Looe Guildhall toilets closed for three weeks in September
A well-timed comfort break is about to get trickier in the middle of Looe. From early September, the public toilets by the Guildhall are shutting their doors, and they will stay shut for most of the month.

What is happening and when
Looe Town Council has confirmed that the Guildhall public toilets in Looe town centre will close from Monday 7 September to Wednesday 30 September 2026 while the block is refurbished. The council says the closure is to allow improvements to be carried out, with the toilets due to reopen on Wednesday 30 September.
Where to go instead
While the Guildhall toilets are out of action, the nearest public conveniences are the Seafront Public Toilets. Notices going up on the closed block point people the same way, so anyone caught short in the town centre during those three weeks will need to head down towards the front.
The council thanked people for bearing with the work. “Thank you for your patience and understanding while these improvements are carried out,” it said.
