Police appeal after fatal three-vehicle crash on A387 at Looe

An 81-year-old man has died after a collision involving three vehicles on the A387 at Looe on Friday morning.

What happened

Emergency services were called shortly before 10.30am on Friday 12 June to a three-vehicle collision on the A387 at East Looe, near St Martins Road.

The collision involved a blue Volvo V70, a Toyota Estima and a Kia Rio.

The driver of the Volvo, an 81-year-old man from the Looe area, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

A woman who had been travelling in the Toyota was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police, fire and ambulance crews attended. The road stayed closed for several hours while officers examined the scene.

Police appeal for witnesses

Officers from the Roads Policing Team want to hear from anyone who saw the collision, or who has information or dash cam footage.
