Finding the right help when your mental health is wobbling can be its own uphill climb. Who do you call? Will they understand? Can you even get to them? A Cornwall organisation now wants to hear exactly how that climb feels from the bottom.

What the survey is about

Social enterprise Access Cornwall is working with local organisations to find out how easy it is for people to get the support they need through People In Mind Cornwall.

People In Mind Cornwall is a programme for people with mental health challenges who don’t need urgent NHS care. Access Cornwall says the aim is for that support to be easy for everyone to reach and use, and the people best placed to say whether it is are the ones who have tried.

Anyone who wants to share their views can take part in the online survey.

Answer as much or as little as you like

The organisation is keen to keep the pressure off. You don’t have to answer every question, and you can stop at any time. Everything shared is completely confidential, according to Access Cornwall.

Other ways to take part

Not everyone wants to fill in a form, so there are alternatives. If you would rather talk it through, you can email [email protected] or call 01326 350805, and the team will arrange a phone or video call.

Large print and easy read versions are also available. Just get in touch and the team will help.

If you need support right now

Access Cornwall is clear that the survey is not a crisis service. If you need help straight away, these are the places to turn:

  • Mental health: Samaritans, free at any time on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258
  • Urgent money worries: National Debtline, free on 0808 808 4000
  • Immediate danger: call 999 or go to A&E
