Four decades serving Mevagissey
In a post shared by Mevagissey Community Fire Station, the crew said Paul has spent those four decades serving and protecting the local community and supporting his fellow firefighters.
They described him as “a huge part of the Mevagissey station family”.
The station called 40 years in one place “a remarkable achievement”, and pointed to Paul’s commitment and dedication to both the Fire and Rescue Service and the community of Mevagissey.
‘A massive thank you’
The message from the station was a short one.
“From everyone at Mevagissey Fire Station, congratulations Paul and a massive thank you for everything you have given over the last 40 years,” the crew wrote.
“An outstanding milestone and something to be very proud of.”
They signed off with a toast: “Here’s to 40 years of service at Mevagissey!”
