The Human League to headline Scorrier’s Great Estate Festival 2027
Somewhere in a virtual queue, a lot of people are about to have a disappointing morning. Coach and ticket packages for Glastonbury 2027 have already sold out, and the general sale scramble is still to come.
The team behind a festival in the grounds of a Cornish stately home would like a word with anyone who misses out. They have synth-pop royalty booked, a drone show planned, and dinosaurs on the way.

Three days at Scorrier Estate
The Great Estate Festival returns to the 400-acre grounds of Scorrier Estate from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 June 2027. It will be the festival’s tenth year.
Organisers call it “the most rambunctious garden fête”, and it has also been described as Cornwall’s “most unorthodox garden party”. They are pitching it as a boutique alternative to the larger, more commercial events, with live music, art, theatre and a long list of oddities spread across the estate.
Attendance has topped 10,000 in previous years. Organisers say tickets for 2027 are selling faster than ever.
The Human League top the bill
The first headliner named for the anniversary year is The Human League. The synth-pop pioneers bring a catalogue that includes Don’t You Want Me, Love Action (I Believe In Love) and Open Your Heart.
More headline and music announcements are promised, with the next due on Thursday 8 October.
They follow a long line of names to have played Scorrier, among them Manic Street Preachers, Primal Scream, James, Happy Mondays, Supergrass, Leftfield, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Darkness, The Charlatans, The Stranglers, Razorlight, Black Grape and Electric Six.
Down the rabbit hole on Saturday
New for 2027, Saturday takes on an Alice in Wonderland theme. There will be a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party fancy dress competition, with prizes for The Great Estate 2028 on offer for the best efforts.
An interactive Alice-inspired theatrical trail will run across the estate for families to follow. Madame Wong’s House of Wrong gets a takeover too, with a new Mad Hatter’s Drag Race followed by a Mad Hatter’s Drag Party DJ set.
And after dark on Saturday, a drone show will light up the sky above the estate for the first time.

Dinosaurs, a pixie and a mermaid
Dino Discovery joins the line-up for 2027, bringing what organisers describe as astonishingly lifelike dinosaurs to Scorrier.
Bubbles the Pixie returns with daytime bubble shows, then switches to an LED performance after sunset. Mischief the Mermaid will be back in Scorrier Pool from 5pm to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
A fire-cooked feast on Friday
Chef Rupert Cooper will host a new Festival Feast on the Friday evening. Rupert is known for cooking over fire, and the feast is billed as a more intimate sitting away from the wider revelry.
Elsewhere there is a Secret Gin Garden, a Vintage Fairground, and a number of secret venues that festivalgoers are left to find for themselves.
New music, vinyl and silent discos
Clunk Magazine Presents Kavos takes its name from the Cornish for “to find”. It will be a space for up-and-coming artists from across the South West, giving them a platform alongside the established acts.
The Korev Experience returns with DJs across the weekend, ending on Sunday with an all-vinyl takeover. That includes Put It On, where festivalgoers can bring their own records along and play them.
The Super Sized Silent Disco takes over the main arena from 11pm until 1.30am on Friday and Saturday. For daytime dancers, the Woodland Silent Disco runs among the trees from 1pm to 3pm on both days.
The Silent Cinema is back with family films across the weekend. The Greatest Skate brings a skate ramp and a programme of workshops.

What families get for the ticket price
A large programme of activities is included in the ticket. Victorian Sports Day brings sack racing and other games. There are circus skills, storytelling, creative workshops, Hip Hop Karaoke and kids’ raves.
The Sanctuary is home to the wellness venues, including The Zen Den and The Wellness Workshop tent, with activities for all ages.
Cornwall Shop Small will bring a hand-picked selection of Cornish makers, vintage curators and independent creatives to its Market Marquee, along with locally made food.
The estate, and how to book
Scorrier Estate was built in 1780 by the mining tycoon John Williams and remains home to the Williams family. The house sits in 400 acres of private parkland and historic gardens.
Guests can upgrade to boutique glamping or The Octopus Garden, with access to Scorrier House’s private pool and sauna.
The Great Estate took Gold in the Tourism Event and Festival category at the Cornwall Tourism Awards in 2024, after Silver in 2019 and 2022.
Tickets are on sale now through the Great Estate Festival website. Organisers expect prices to move up to the next tier soon.
