Meet the Machines: climb aboard at Lanhydrock near Bodmin

There is a moment on most family days out when a child spots something enormous with wheels and decides they need to climb straight up into it. At Lanhydrock this Friday, that is the whole point.

What is on

The National Trust event Meet the Machines is back at Lanhydrock, the estate near Bodmin, on Friday 14 August. It runs from 11am to 3pm, it is free to attend, and there is no need to book, so you can turn up whenever suits during the day.

Climb aboard and ask the rangers

This is the chance to get up close to the machines the rangers use to look after the estate. You can climb aboard, press the buttons, and ask the rangers any questions you have about the work that keeps Lanhydrock going through the year.

The event is on the estate at Lanhydrock, just off the A30 near Bodmin. To check parking, opening details and directions before you set off, plan your visit at Lanhydrock on the National Trust website.

The rangers will be out with the machines from 11am, and once the clock reaches 3pm they head back to the day job of keeping the estate in order.
