Drugs bust in Newlyn: man arrested after police raid

A man has been arrested following a drugs raid at a residential address in Gwavas, Newlyn, earlier this week.

On Wednesday 16th April, officers from the Penzance Neighbourhood Team, supported by the Neighbourhood Support Team and Operational Support Unit, executed a search warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act at the property.

A quantity of Class A and Class B drugs were found at the address. A man from the property was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Anyone with information about suspected drug dealing in their area is urged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police, or report it anonymously via Crimestoppers.
