ANPR Cameras Now in Operation at Newquay Train Station Car Park

Planning to nip into Newquay Train Station car park to drop someone off or pop into a nearby shop? It might be worth slowing down before you pull in.

Newquay BID has issued a warning to anyone using the car park at Newquay Train Station, where Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras are now in operation. The cameras record vehicle registrations as drivers enter and exit the site.

According to the BID, drivers get 30 minutes of free parking. Stay any longer than that and you will be charged the full daily parking rate.

Why people are being told to check the signs

Newquay BID has flagged that some people have found the signage confusing. The advice is to read all the parking signs carefully before leaving your vehicle. If it is required, you should enter your vehicle registration details at the station or follow whatever instructions are displayed on site.
