Fistral Beach Hotel opens its upgraded Newquay gym to locals

If you live near Newquay and have only ever seen the gym at Fistral Beach Hotel from the outside, there is now a way in that skips the spa entirely. The adults-only hotel above Fistral Beach has opened its upgraded fitness suite to local residents on a gym-only membership, starting at £40 a month.

What the new gym membership gives you

The new Gym Membership costs from £40 a month and comes with unlimited access to the hotel’s fitness suite, with no need to join the spa. It sits alongside the existing Spa and Gym Membership, and the hotel says the gym-only option answers growing demand for more flexible fitness choices.

Members on either package also pick up a set of hotel perks, including discounts on accommodation, spa treatments, spa retail, and food and drink.

New Pulse kit and Peloton bikes

The fitness suite has recently been enhanced with new Pulse cardiovascular and resistance equipment, alongside Peloton bikes and personal training facilities. That is the kit the £40 membership buys unlimited time on.

The bigger Spa and Gym option

If you want the water and the wellness side too, the Spa and Gym Membership runs from £65 a month off-peak and £80 a month peak. It covers unlimited use of the gym, the spa facilities, the vitality suite and the swimming pool, plus a programme of complimentary fitness and wellness classes.

So the choice comes down to two levels. Dedicated gym access at the lower price, or a fuller package that folds relaxation and instructor-led classes into one membership.

What’s on the class timetable

The timetable is built to suit all abilities. It runs HIIT, yoga, Pilates, spin, kettlebell conditioning, boxing techniques and conditioning, breathwork and meditation, core training, and the popular Run Club, all led by experienced instructors.

The classes are included for Spa and Gym members and are also free for guests staying at the hotel.
