Newquay Easter Egg-stravaganza to Take Place on 4th April

Don’t Miss It: Free Easter Fun Hits Newquay This Saturday

Newquay Town Council is reminding families, residents and visitors that its free Easter Egg stravaganza will take place on Saturday 4th April at the Killacourt, running from 10am to 4pm.

The event promises a full day of Easter themed activities, all at no cost, with something for children and families to enjoy throughout the day.

A Full Day of Free Easter Activities

The Egg-stravaganza will feature a wide range of entertainment, including an Easter Egg Hunt where every child will receive a chocolate egg, with alternatives available.

Visitors can also enjoy:

• Easter storytelling sessions with Hotch Potch Performance
• Face painting
• Mini fairground rides
• An Easter Trail
• Garden games and outdoor play
• A children’s disco from the Bandstand

Alongside the main event, the BIG Newquay Market will be taking place on the Killacourt. Hosted by Cornwall Shop Small in collaboration with Newquay BID, the market will showcase a variety of products from local artisans and makers.

Easter Trails Continue Through the Holidays

Families looking for more Easter activities can take part in two free town trails running from 7th to 18th April.

The Easter Trail invites participants to pick up a trail sheet from Newquay Library and Information Service and follow clues around the town to find hidden Easter egg posters in shop windows. Completed sheets can be returned to the library in exchange for a small Easter treat.

There is also the Golden Rocks Hunt, where children are encouraged to search for one of 50 golden rocks hidden across Newquay. Any rocks found can be taken to the library and swapped for an Easter treat, donated by Sainsbury’s Newquay. Alternatives are available, and prizes are open to children aged 12 and under.

Please note that the Library and Information Service is closed on Sundays.
