Newquay fireworks return with hundreds of drones in the sky
This year, the fireworks over Newquay will have company.
Newquay‘s annual fireworks display is back on Friday 6 November, and organisers WAX Events are adding something new to the night. A ‘Celebration of Cornwall’ drone show will see hundreds of drones light up the sky above Newquay Sports Centre before the main display begins.

Cornwall, drawn in light
The drones take their inspiration from Cornwall and everything that makes it special. They’ll come together to form a series of moving images and formations high above the town, starting at 7.15pm.
Jordan from WAX Events said:
“Fireworks have always been one of our busiest events of the year, but this time we wanted to push the boundaries and introduce something a bit more modern. Hopefully, it’ll make the night feel even more magical, especially for the younger generation.”
Music, food and plenty for the kids
Local favourites The Budgie Smugglers are on the bill, with DJ Beaker getting things going once the gates open. There’ll be children’s rides and attractions, more than 10 bars and drinks outlets, and a street food line-up from local independent traders.
