Newquay Food Festival Returns to Killacourt for Four Free Days
Four days of live fire cooking, cold pints and music carrying out over the Atlantic are heading back to the clifftop above Towan Beach this July.
Newquay Food Festival returns to Killacourt from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 July, bringing together Cornish chefs, musicians, independent traders and producers for four days on the coast. Entry is free across all four days.
The festival has settled into Cornwall’s summer calendar over the past few years, built around shared tables, cold pints, cooking over open flame and live music. It sits above one of the most recognisable stretches of coast in the country.

The Fire Theatre Returns
The Fire Theatre is back as the centre of the festival, presented in partnership with Kamado Joe. The stage is given over to cooking over flame, with a lineup that includes Adam Handling, Charlotte Vincent and Adam Banks alongside a run of other Cornish chefs.
Across the weekend, visitors can expect live demonstrations, conversations, tastings and a look at the people shaping the region’s food scene.
Music by the Sea
As the sun drops over Towan Beach, the festival moves into the evening. Wild Oyo open things on Thursday. Love Deluxx take Friday night, with Sleepy Time Ghost, Shumba Youth, The Mighty Howlers and Séamus McKenna spread across the rest of the programme at the Main Stage.
Bars serve beers and ciders from St Ives Brewery throughout, so there is usually another reason to stay a little longer.
A Handpicked Collection of Traders
The food runs from freshly landed seafood and artisan bakeries to loaded gyros, wood-fired pizzas, smash burgers and small-batch producers. Every trader has been picked by the festival’s team of Cornish organisers.
Alongside the kitchens there are independent makers and local producers, with plenty worth taking home.

Celebrating Cornwall
The festival was set up to celebrate the people behind Cornwall’s food, drink and creative communities, with independent businesses at its core.
Co-founder Barney Farnworth said: “Newquay has always had an incredible energy, and we wanted to create a festival that felt like a natural extension of the town and county. Proper food & genuinely good music, a stone’s throw from the beach. That’s what this event is about.”
Co-founder Harry James Mills added: “Every year the festival grows a little more. More chefs, more traders, more music and more people discovering just how special Cornwall’s food scene has become. We can’t wait to bring it back to Killacourt.”
The festival is running in partnership with Kamado Joe, St Ives Brewery and SeaSpace. Schedules, announcements and the full trader lineup are being posted via @newquayfoodfestival on Instagram.
