Thefts Reported Across Town

Newquay Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a spate of thefts from vehicles and related interference in several areas of the town. Between Friday 10th January and Thursday 16th January, a number of incidents were reported, particularly in Nansledan and areas around Henver Road.

Increased Patrols and Public Safety Advice

Officers have stepped up patrols in response to these crimes and are urging residents to take precautions. Police are asking vehicle owners to ensure their cars are locked at all times and to remove any personal items and valuables to reduce the risk of theft.

What to Do If You See Suspicious Activity

The public is encouraged to remain vigilant, particularly during the early hours. If you witness anyone acting suspiciously or see a theft from a vehicle in progress, you should call 999 immediately.

For those with additional information or relevant footage that could assist the investigation, police advise contacting them via the Devon & Cornwall Police website or by calling 101 and quoting reference 50250007917.

Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or reporting online at Crimestoppers.

Stay alert and take action to secure your vehicles as police work to address these crimes in the community.
