Newquay Zombie Crawl returns for 2026 as businesses invited

Last year, organisers reckon Newquay was busier than plenty of locals had ever seen it. Car parks full, streets packed, thousands of families in town for the day. Now they want to go bigger.

Newquay BID has confirmed the Newquay Zombie Crawl and Spooky Newquay Week are coming back for 2026, and this time the planning has started early. After what the team describes as an incredible response last year, they are looking to make the whole thing bigger, better and spookier.

What businesses are being asked to do

The BID is inviting Newquay businesses to host free family Halloween workshops in the run-up to the main parade. The idea is to spread families across the town centre before the crawl kicks off, giving them things to do along the way.

Workshop ideas floated by the organisers include:

• Face painting
• Pumpkin carving
• Creative crafts
• Halloween-themed activities

The workshops are fully funded and completely free for families to take part in. For a business, it is a way to bring new visitors through the door as part of an event the BID says is becoming one of the South West’s must-visit Halloween celebrations.

The BID is after good-sized, accessible venues. Ideally that means ground floor premises, or first-floor spaces with wheelchair access. Because the event has grown into one of Cornwall’s biggest free family Halloween celebrations, they need spaces that can welcome families comfortably without disrupting normal trade.

Where and when

The organisers are ideally looking for businesses between Fore Street and Cliff Road, so the activities form a trail across the town centre ahead of the parade.

The Zombie Crawl Parade itself starts from Oakley Terrace, just off Cliff Road, at 3:00pm on Saturday 24 October 2026.

The BID has said it will pick a cross-section of venues across the town centre, so not every business that applies will make the final list. But the team is keen to hear from anyone interested.
