Police Investigate Fatal House Fire in Newquay
Man in His 30s Found Dead After House Fire
Police are investigating after a man in his 30s was found dead following a fire at a property in Newquay earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at a residential address on Narrowcliff at around 4.35pm on Tuesday 22nd July. The fire service requested police attendance at the scene.
After work to identify and locate family members, Devon & Cornwall Police have confirmed that a man in his 30s was found deceased within the property. His next of kin have now been informed.
Death Treated as Unexplained
The cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the man’s death remain unclear. Police say the death is currently being treated as unexplained and that they are “keeping an open mind.”
A police cordon remains in place at the site, and enquiries are ongoing.
Appeal for Information
Anyone who witnessed the fire or has relevant dashcam footage is urged to come forward to assist with the investigation.
