SeaSpace Aparthotel Set to Transform Porth: Community Event Announced

Cornwall’s first coastal aparthotel, SeaSpace, is inviting the local Porth community to learn more about its upcoming launch in October 2024.

The event will be held at Gwenna Teahouse on Porth Beach Road, Newquay, on Thursday 11 July from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. This gathering offers residents a unique chance to explore the new opportunities SeaSpace will bring to the area.

Exciting Opportunities and Facilities

SeaSpace promises to invigorate the local area with a range of fresh facilities and employment opportunities. Among the highlights are a refurbished gym and a stunning 19-metre Miami-inspired pool. The aparthotel is designed to cater to coast-loving travellers, young families, and remote workers, offering a new way to enjoy seaside living.

The shared spaces at SeaSpace are crafted to foster connection and community. A vibrant lobby café will serve freshly baked bread, pastries, barista coffee, and a variety of meals throughout the day. Additionally, the weekend food pop-ups at the bar will offer guests and locals the chance to enjoy cocktails, wine, and beer with breathtaking ocean views.

Padel Tennis Club and Community Events

In a groundbreaking partnership with UK Padel, SeaSpace will host the largest padel tennis club in Devon and Cornwall, featuring five courts – three for doubles and two for singles. Two of the doubles courts will have retractable roofs, allowing for year-round play. This makes SeaSpace a hub for both locals and visitors to engage in this growing, sociable sport.

The neighbourhood spirit will be further enhanced with a variety of events, including live music, pop-ups, art expos, BBQs, and cook-ups. Families will find plenty to keep their children entertained with an outdoor maze and play areas. Members and overnight guests can enjoy the stylish pool or get active in the revamped gym. Ample on-site parking will ensure a hassle-free experience for all visitors.

Accommodation and Recruitment

SeaSpace will offer 56 self-catering accommodations, including studios and 2- or 3-bedroom apartments, all designed for open-plan living. Each space will be fully equipped with kitchens, dining/work tables, and lounge areas, catering to a range of guests from single travellers to families and groups. The accommodation is dog-friendly, ensuring a warm welcome for all.

To support the launch, SeaSpace will host two recruitment days for a variety of roles, including housekeeping, hosts, house managers, night managers, and chefs. These drop-in sessions will be held on Thursday 11 July and Wednesday 14 August from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at The Hangar, Aerohub Business Park.
