Vintage Motorcycles to Roar into Newquay This Month
Newquay is about to get a glamorous makeover, with hundreds of dapper riders on classic motorcycles set to descend on the town in a spectacle unlike any other.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a globally recognised event, is rolling into Newquay on Sunday 17th May, bringing together riders of classic and vintage-style motorcycles, all dressed in their finest attire.

Raising Funds for Men’s Health
The international ride raises vital funds and awareness for men’s health, with a particular focus on prostate cancer research and mental health support.
Riders will be travelling from locations across Cornwall, all converging on Newquay as a key destination to conclude their journey. The convoy of beautifully maintained motorcycles is expected to arrive after 4pm, parking at Sainsbury’s before making their way to Project 83, who have played a key role in introducing and supporting the event locally.
A Warm Welcome from the Town
The arrival promises to bring a vibrant and memorable atmosphere to Newquay, with visitors and locals able to enjoy the spectacle of distinguished riders and their machines. Businesses across Newquay are being encouraged to get involved, with restaurants, bars and venues invited to extend their opening hours and help create a lively welcome.
Mark from Newquay BID said: “This is another fantastic event for Newquay, and we’re really pleased to be supporting it. We’re always looking to bring more events into the town that drive footfall and showcase everything Newquay has to offer. We’re excited to see the incredible bikes and distinguished riders enjoying our town on the 17th May.”
Part of a Global Movement
Event organiser Si Wilkinson added: “The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is about more than just gentlefolks on motorcycles, it’s about raising awareness, and supporting men’s health on a global scale. This ride takes place in over 1000 cities worldwide, and we’re proud to be bringing our riders into Newquay this year. We can’t wait to see the town come alive as riders arrive to celebrate together.”
