A quiet afternoon in Truro to remember babies gone too soon
Some losses never make it into conversation. Next month, families who have lost a baby are invited to spend an afternoon in Truro with people who understand.
Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is holding its Annual Baby Remembrance Service on Sunday 11 October at 3pm at Truro Catholic Church. Anyone is welcome to go.

Comfort and mutual support
The service takes place every year during National Baby Loss Awareness Week. It’s put together by the hospital chaplains and Bereavement Specialist Midwives to offer comfort and mutual support.
Reverend Dom Whitting, Lead for Chaplaincy and Voluntary Services at RCHT, said: “This service provides an opportunity for parents, families and friends to meet with others for mutual support. Everyone is welcome to join us as we come together to remember and celebrate the lives of the precious babies who are no longer with us.”
When and where
The service will be held at Truro Catholic Church, St Austell Street, Truro, TR1 1SE, on Sunday 11 October at 3pm.
It lasts about 45 minutes and is followed by refreshments.
