What Turned Up at Trevose Head on World Seabird Day

Twenty six species of bird before the coffee had even been poured. That was the count at Trevose Head on World Seabird Day.

Eighteen nature and wildlife enthusiasts had an amazing time birdwatching at Trevose Head to mark the occasion. The weather was gorgeous, sunny and warm with a light breeze that kept things refreshing.

Who ran the day

The event was organised by Rowena Castillo-Nicholls, founder and chair of Connect with Nature, RSPB Kernow Group Leader and Publicity Officer of Cornwall Birds. Rob Nicholls led the field trip.

What they saw

Between them the group logged twenty six species of bird and twelve species of butterfly across the morning.

Then came the part every good field trip needs. The day wrapped up with a chat over coffee, tea, cakes, biscuits, crackers and cheese.
