Golowan 2026: Every Penzance Road Closure, Day by Day
Golowan Festival returns to Penzance this month, and for the best part of ten days the way traffic moves through the town is going to change. The festival opens with the Feast of St John Civic Parade on Sunday 21st June and builds towards Mazey Day and Quay Fair Day at the end of the run, with road closures, diversions and one way restrictions in place across the town centre and the seafront.
Festival organisers and Cornwall Council have published a full day-by-day list so people can plan ahead. Here is what is closing, and when.

The main thing to know
From Monday 22nd June to Monday 29th June there will be no through traffic between Ross Bridge and the Promenade junction with Queen Street. Traffic will be diverted via the A30.

On top of that, Saturday 27th June is the big one. Market Jew Street and the main adjoining streets in the town centre close to traffic for Mazey Day.
