Penlee House wins Exhibition of the Year at Cornwall Heritage Awards
A Penzance gallery has come out on top against some of Cornwall’s largest heritage venues, and the winning exhibition was all about the county itself.
Penlee House has won Exhibition of the Year (Larger Venues) at this year’s Cornwall Heritage Awards. The prize went to The Shape of Things: Our Place in a Changing Climate, which ran from 5th February to 26th April 2025.
The exhibition looked at the effects of climate change in Cornwall through historic artworks and photographs drawn from the Penlee House collections. It was put together in collaboration with more than 30 organisations, schools, community groups and environmental champions.
A second win for the gallery
Penlee House had more than one reason to celebrate on the night. Milo Berwick received a Commended in the One-to-One category, recognising Milo’s volunteering work at the Gallery.
The Cornwall Heritage Awards celebrate venues, exhibitions and individuals from across the county’s heritage community.
