Penzance Man Jailed After Running From Officers in Town Centre

A man has been jailed after officers on patrol in Penzance town centre located him breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.

Police say the incident happened during a Hot Spot Patrol in Penzance this week, when officers were searching for a man who had reportedly breached his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at the weekend.

Arrest on Market Jew Street

Officers located Jack KEANE on Market Jew Street, where he was found to be in breach of the order.

Police said Jack ran from officers but was quickly caught and arrested.

Following the arrest, Jack was charged with two breaches of his Criminal Behaviour Order and a public order offence.

Court Appearance and Sentence

Jack was remanded in custody and taken to the next available court.

He was given a 24 week prison sentence.

Town Marshals Assisted Officers

Penzance Town Marshals assisted police during the arrest.

Police thanked the marshals for their continued work in tackling anti social behaviour in the town.

Officers said anti social behaviour can be a complex issue and one that requires input and action from more than just the police.
