Penzance Remembrance Sunday brings a first for the Last Post
Sixty-two years separate the youngest and oldest of the buglers who will sound the Last Post at Battery Rocks this year. For a call usually played by one person standing alone, that is quite a change.
Penzance Council has two public events planned as Penzance prepares to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, with the Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service on Sunday 8 November and a short Armistice Day service on Wednesday 11 November.

Three generations, one bugle call
For the first time at a Penzance Remembrance Service, the Last Post will be played by a multi-generational trio.
The poignant bugle call is normally played by a lone bugler. This year it will come from three members of Penzance Silver Band: Arthur Wright, 15, Yves Giebens, 53, and Gwyn Williams, 77.
Cornish in the prayers
The service will take place outdoors at the War Memorial at Battery Rocks and will be led by Rev Jacky Wise of Penlee Cluster.
The Cornish language will again feature prominently, with translated prayers read by the Mayor of Penzance, Cllr Andy Law.
