Drivers in Penzance are facing disruption this morning after a large tree came down overnight on Alverton Road following strong winds from Storm Bram.

Cornwall Council has been made aware of the situation and work is expected to begin soon to clear the fallen tree.

The road is currently closed from the mini roundabout at the top of Alexandra Road, as well as from the turning for Castle Horneck Road on the opposite side.
