What’s Really Going on in Penzance? Residents Invited to Find Out Next Week
Public meeting set to reveal updates on key projects, town budget, and anti-social behaviour
People living in Penzance Parish are being encouraged to attend a public meeting to hear what’s planned for the future of their town – and to have their say.
When and where is it?
The Annual Town Meeting, organised by Penzance Council, will take place at 7:00pm on Thursday 29th May 2025 in the Main Hall of St John’s Hall.
This year’s event will include updates on important local projects and offer a chance to speak directly with councillors and other organisations involved in shaping the town’s future.
Meet the new councillors and hear about town projects
The meeting is also a chance for the public to meet the newly elected town councillors, get a summary of the work Penzance Council has done over the past year, and hear what’s in store for the year ahead.
Representatives from Penzance Regeneration Company and Penzance BID will be giving updates on a number of key schemes, including:
-
Market House
-
The Bouldering Centre
-
The Sustainable Travel Network
What else is on the agenda?
Alongside project updates, the meeting will also cover:
-
Anti-social behaviour
-
Upcoming town festivals
-
The 2025/26 budget for Penzance Council
Grant recipients from the past year will also speak about how council funding has been used to support local residents and the environment.
Got a question? Here’s how to ask
Residents from across the parish – including Newlyn, Mousehole, Paul, Heamoor, Gulval and Eastern Green — can submit questions in advance by emailing info@penzance-tc.gov.uk, or can ask their questions during the Q&A session following the presentations.
A full transcript of all questions and answers will be published on the Penzance Council website after the meeting.
Everyone welcome
The meeting is open to all residents of Penzance Parish. Whether you’re curious about new developments or concerned about local issues, this is a chance to hear first-hand what’s happening in the town — and to make your voice heard.
