A table full of roast dinners, a room full of chatter, and another full house for the West Cornwall Oddfellows Friendly Society. Members gathered at Tricky’s Restaurant in Redruth for the latest in their popular series of Sunday Lunches, an afternoon built on nothing more complicated than good food and better company.

Good food and old friends

Members and guests from across the district filled the restaurant, choosing from a varied menu and catching up with familiar faces. The Society’s Sunday Lunches have built a reputation for their relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and this latest gathering was no exception, with plenty of conversation flowing between courses.

Thanks to Janice

Everyone who attended had one person to thank for how smoothly the afternoon ran. Janice organised the event, and all present were quick to express their thanks for the work that went into making it another success.

More lunches on the way

Regular social events like this one are a fixture for the West Cornwall Oddfellows, giving members the chance to meet new people, strengthen existing friendships and feel part of their local Oddfellows community. Further lunches and activities are planned over the coming months, and the Society says new members and guests are always welcome to come along and experience the friendship for themselves.
