Teen Seriously Injured in Blackwater Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision near Redruth that left a teenage boy with potentially life changing injuries.

Emergency services called to scene

Officers were called at 7.20pm on Monday 13th April to a collision on the old A30 at Blackwater, near Redruth. The incident involved a Peugeot 207 and an e-bike.

Police and ambulance crews attended, and the road was closed while an investigation was carried out. It later reopened at around 9.05pm.

Boy taken to hospital

The rider of the e-bike, a boy in his early teens, was taken to hospital with serious injuries described as potentially life changing.

No other injuries were reported.

Appeal for witnesses

Police are now asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
