Tyre tracks across Redruth’s East End Park after £30,000 path work
Loops of churned-up turf now curl across the grass right beside a freshly laid pathway in Redruth‘s East End Park.
Redruth Town Council says it is deeply disappointed by the damage, which is believed to have happened on Monday 19 October and may have involved e-bikes.

A park in the middle of a makeover
The timing stings. The town council recently invested £30,000 in a new pathway through the park, and more is on the way, including new inclusive play equipment.
Now some of that money will have to go on putting the grass right. The council says repairing the avoidable damage will add costs and divert public funds away from other improvements across the town.
Police told and patrols requested
The incident has been reported to the police. The council has also asked for increased patrols in the park.
And it is appealing to everyone to help look after the town’s community spaces.

Anyone who witnessed what happened, has dashcam footage from the area, or has any information about the damage is asked to contact Redruth Town Council on 01209 210038 or email [email protected].
