Bude RNLI Lifeboat Weekend: three days ending in fireworks
The volunteers who crew Bude’s inshore lifeboat spend their summers launching into whatever the sea decides to throw at them. For one bank holiday weekend, the town gets to return the favour.
Bude RNLI has confirmed its Lifeboat Weekend for Saturday 29 to Monday 31 August, three days of collections, a quiz, a church service, live music and a fireworks finish, all to raise money for the station’s volunteer crew. Everything builds towards the main Lifeboat Day on the Monday.

Every penny stays on this coast
Money raised across the weekend goes to the RNLI crew who cover this stretch of the north Cornwall coast, the same people you might see training off the beach on any given weekend. The organisers are asking people to come down, put something in the bucket and enjoy the weekend, whether that is the quiz on the Saturday night or the fireworks on the Monday.
