Dogs can meet Santa Paws at RSPCA Cornwall in St Columb
Most trips to see Father Christmas come with a queue of excited children. This one has a few wagging tails in the line as well.
RSPCA Cornwall Branch is holding its Christmas Market and Santa Paws day at The Venton Animal Centre near St Columb on Sunday 29 November, and four-legged family members are firmly on the guest list.
It runs from 11am to 3pm. There’s no need to book. Just turn up.

Stalls from local makers
Festive stalls will be selling unique gifts, treats and goodies from local makers and businesses. So it’s a chance to get a head start on the Christmas shopping, or pick up a little something for yourself while you’re there.
There will be festive refreshments to keep everyone going as they browse.
Meeting Santa Paws
The branch says it wouldn’t be Christmas at RSPCA Cornwall without Santa Paws, and both children and dogs can go along to meet him.
Visits cost £5 per child and £3 per pooch.
Why the day matters
RSPCA Cornwall Branch is an independent, self-funded charity, and it says events like this are a big part of how it keeps going. Every pound raised helps it carry on caring for and rehoming animals in need.
It also falls in a milestone year for the branch, which is celebrating 30 years (1996 to 2026).

Where to find it
The market is at RSPCA Cornwall Branch, The Venton Animal Centre, Quoit, St Columb, Cornwall, TR9 6JS.
The branch has other Christmas events planned as well, listed on its events page.
