Only 20 places on Saltash tree planting day at Churchtown Farm

Twenty pairs of hands. That’s all it will take to get a community tree planting project in the ground at Churchtown Farm, and the places are open now.

Saltash Town Council is looking for a team of 20 volunteers to join it for a tree planting day in Saltash next month.

Where and when

The planting day takes place at Churchtown Farm, Saltash, on Friday 4 December, starting from 10am.

Final timings are still to be confirmed. Further details, including the confirmed timings and practical information, will be shared with volunteers once they sign up.

How to get involved

Anyone who wants to take part, or find out more, can contact the council by email at [email protected] or by phone on 01752 844846.

With only 20 volunteer spaces available, it’s worth getting in touch sooner rather than later.

Where the funding came from

The project follows a successful funding application by the town council to Network Rail for a community tree planting project at the farm.

The council shared the news of that funding a couple of days before putting out the call for volunteers. Now it needs people to do the digging.
