Cornish Pirates Looking to Bounce Back Against London Scottish
Four changes in the Cornish Pirates starting line-up for Friday’s clash
The Cornish Pirates are set for an exciting match this Friday as they face London Scottish in an away game kicking off at 7.45pm. Both teams will be looking to recover from narrow losses last weekend, with London Scottish falling 34-33 to Hartpury and the Pirates suffering a last-minute 29-24 defeat at home against Ealing Trailfinders.
New Faces in the Pirates Line-Up
Ahead of Friday’s contest, the Cornish Pirates have made four changes to their starting line-up. Scrum half Dan Hiscocks, who stepped in last week following Cam Jones’ early injury, will take the number 9 shirt. Billy Keast and Jay Tyack, both experienced props, will make their first league starts of the campaign, while Matt Cannon steps in at lock.
On the bench, three players are eager to make an impact: Ollie Andrews, who is set for his first Championship appearance, scrum half Will Rigelsford, and backrower Tomiwa Agbongbon, who has joined the Pirates on loan from Ealing Trailfinders.
Preparation Key for Success
Joint head coach Alan Paver has emphasised the importance of both physical and mental preparation for the match. He pointed out that while any away game presents challenges, London Scottish boasts a talented squad and solid coaching. Both teams will be hungry for a win after their narrow defeats, making this a highly anticipated contest.
