An open letter from chairman Eric Perez has been released following confirmation of relegation, addressing supporters, sponsors, and everyone connected to the club.

In the message, Eric Perez acknowledged the disappointment of the moment while setting out a clear intention for what comes next.

A Difficult Moment, But Not the End

Eric described relegation as “a tough moment” for the football club but stressed that it does not define its future.

He said:

“Relegation is not where we wanted to be, but it does not define who we are, or where we are going.”

The chairman used the opportunity to call for unity, describing the situation as a chance to “come together, reflect, and reset with renewed determination.”

Eric thanked supporters for their loyalty both home and away, highlighting the distances travelled:

“When I say away, I mean our supporters that have travelled further to back us than any supporters ever have, and. That is truly special.”

He also paid tribute to players, coaching staff, the administrative team and volunteers:

“Their effort, professionalism and commitment throughout the season has been outstanding.”

Commitment to a Full-Time Future

Looking ahead, Eric confirmed a key decision about the club’s direction.

“I want to be absolutely clear that we will continue as a full-time football club for the 2026/27 season.”

He said this reflects the club’s ambition to compete at the highest level possible and its commitment to returning to the National League.

Despite the setback, the message remained forward-looking.

Eric said:

“We are not stepping back, we are building forward.”

He added that the current moment provides a chance to “learn, to evolve, and to come back sharper, more focused, and more united.”
