Bosinver Farm Cottages near St Austell wins Visit England gold

A family holiday spot on the edge of St Austell has just been named among the finest of its kind anywhere in the country.

Bosinver Farm Cottages has won Gold in the Self Catering Accommodation of the Year category at the Visit England Awards for Excellence 2026. The result places the St Austell business among the best self catering destinations in England.

A national stage for a Cornish farm

The Visit England Awards for Excellence recognise the best of English tourism. They celebrate businesses that deliver outstanding visitor experiences, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to quality and sustainability.

“Absolutely thrilled”

Owner and manager Pat Smith collected the award alongside her husband Dave Smith and son Paul Smith at the ceremony at Aerospace Bristol.

Pat said she was “absolutely thrilled” with the result. “We are incredibly excited and deeply honoured to win Gold at the Visit England Awards. To be recognised on a national stage like this means so much to us and our guests,” she said.

She said the win reflected the work of the whole team. “This award belongs to every single member of our wonderful team.
