Police Appeal After Crash Outside Penrice Academy, St Austell
Charlestown Road was closed on Friday afternoon after a collision outside Penrice Academy left a motorcyclist in hospital. Police now want to hear from anyone who saw it happen, and from any drivers who passed by with a dash cam running.

What happened
The collision took place at around 3pm on Friday 19 June, outside the academy on Charlestown Road in St Austell. It involved an electric motorcycle and a grey BMW.
The rider of the electric motorcycle was taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. The road was closed while officers carried out an investigation at the scene.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team thanked the public for their patience during the closure.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened, and they are especially interested in any dash camera footage from the area around that time.
