Police appeal for witnesses after St Austell road rage assault
A walk through St Austell town centre turned violent last month when a man was punched in the face after a near miss with an Audi, leaving him with a cut to his eye and police now hunting for witnesses.

What happened
The incident took place near Biddick’s Court at around 3.40pm on Monday 27th April.
According to Devon and Cornwall Police, a man was almost run over by an Audi. The driver got out of the vehicle and an argument followed. The victim was then punched in the face, sustaining a cut to his eye.
The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
Suspect description
Police have described the suspect as white, wearing a yellow T-shirt and white trainers.
Appeal for witnesses
Officers are now asking anyone who saw the incident, or who may have captured it on dashcam or mobile phone footage, to come forward.
