St Austell Police Share 2025 Policing Figures
Police in St Austell have shared a snapshot of what officers dealt with across the town during 2025, as the year draws to a close and 2026 approaches.
The figures cover the period from 1st January to 30th December 2025 and give an insight into the scale of demand on local policing.
Thousands of Calls for Help
Over the 12 month period, St Austell Police attended 4,798 calls for assistance. Of those, 1,579 were emergency calls, requiring an urgent police response.
Missing People Reports
Officers also dealt with 315 reports of missing people during the year, highlighting the ongoing safeguarding work carried out alongside frontline policing.
Arrests Made Across a Range of Offences
During 2025, police arrested 881 suspects. This included:

421 arrests for domestic abuse related offences

45 arrests for drug related offences
-
34 arrests for weapons offences
-
15 arrests for burglary
Offenders Taken to Court
As a result of investigations, 243 offenders were charged or summonsed to court between January and December.
Work Beyond the Figures
Police say the statistics only represent part of what officers and police staff do, with additional work taking place throughout the year in safeguarding, crime prevention, community engagement, tackling anti social behaviour and maintaining a visible presence in local communities.
The policing team has also wished communities in and around St Austell a happy and safe New Year as 2026 approaches.
