Teenager attacked at Carlyon Bay Beach as police seek three boys

Police are trying to track down three boys who attacked a teenager on Carlyon Bay Beach, and they think someone who passed by that evening saw what happened.

What happened

Officers have launched an appeal for witnesses following a report of an assault in St Austell. The incident happened between 5pm and 6pm on Wednesday 8 June 2026 at Carlyon Bay Beach, near the large rock feature.

Three males are reported to have assaulted a teenage boy before fleeing the scene. Members of the public stepped in to help the victim straight afterwards.

The three are believed to be aged between 12 and 14.

The three suspects

Police have released descriptions of all three.

• Suspect one: a white male, 5ft 3ins tall, wearing a black tee-shirt that turns white at the bottom and black cargo three-quarter length trousers.
• Suspect two: a white male, 6ft 1ins tall, wearing a grey and black tracksuit jacket, a black bucket hat and dark coloured shorts.
• Suspect three: a male of mixed ethnic background, 5ft 3ins tall, wearing a neon pink, purple and grey Nike windbreaker style jacket, a bucket hat and shorts.
