New Clinic Opens in St Ives: Could This Transform Ear Care in Cornwall?
A new permanent ear care clinic has opened its doors at The Edward Hain Centre in St Ives, marking a significant milestone for Penwith Ear Care. The clinic aims to provide greater accessibility and convenience to both residents and visitors of the area, offering advanced microsuction ear wax removal services.
Expanding Access to Quality Ear Care
Microsuction ear wax removal is a safe and effective procedure suitable for people of all ages, including those with sensitive ears or hearing aids. Beth, founder of Penwith Ear Care, highlighted the importance of addressing ear wax build-up:
“Many people don’t realise the impact ear wax build-up can have on their hearing which is why we are delighted to offer our expanded clinic to serve the community and visitors of St Ives and surrounding areas with our gold standard ear wax removal and hearing screening services. The new clinic provides a modern and comfortable clinic setting for patients to receive the care they need for cleaner, clearer hearing and improve their quality of life,” said Beth.
Supported by Local Funding
The clinic’s establishment was supported by a £7,170 grant from the St Ives Town Deal’s Enterprise Grant scheme. The scheme is part of the £19.9 million Town Deal for St Ives, funded by the Government. The Town Deal focuses on sustainable regeneration, including urban development, connectivity, skills, and enterprise infrastructure.
Cornwall Council oversees the Town Deals and administers the funding in collaboration with the St Ives Town Deal Board. Beth expressed her gratitude for the support:
“We are incredibly grateful to be awarded this funding and support from The St Ives Town Deal’s Enterprise Grant Scheme,” she said.
