Stithians Show keeps family savings before 1 July price rise

Adult tickets for Cornwall’s largest one-day agricultural show are about to get more expensive. Families, though, have a window to lock in a lower price right up to the gates opening.

Adult prices rise on 1 July

Stithians Show returns to the Stithians Showground on Monday 13 July 2026, and organisers are urging visitors to book before adult ticket prices climb.

From 1 July, the adult ticket price increases to £20, up from the current advance rate. Anyone booking before then pays less, so there is still a saving to be had by sorting tickets early.

Children and families are a different story. Child tickets for those aged 5 to 16 have been reduced to £4.50. The popular advance family ticket, covering two adults and two children, stays at £41 all the way through to and including Show Day. That holds the price £4 below the rate that had been due to apply from 1 July onwards. Under 5s go free.

The change follows a Government VAT reduction for family attractions and events, described as the Great British Summer Savings scheme, which the show says has prompted it to revise its child and family pricing for this year.

A full day across the showground

Billed as a highlight of Cornwall’s summer calendar, the show draws thousands of visitors each year and puts the county’s farming, rural life and local businesses front and centre.

There is livestock to judge and equestrian classes to watch, alongside vintage and steam vehicles and modern agricultural displays. Trade stands fill out the site, with local artisans and craftspeople to discover.

Food and drink lovers head for the Taste of Cornwall area, where some of the county’s finest producers gather. Live music and entertainment run throughout the day across the Main Stage, Band Stand and Buskers’ Square.
