When the show opens
The show opens to the public from 11am on Saturday, running across the Bank Holiday weekend at The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Visitors can come along throughout, meet the growers behind the blooms, and pick up a few tips for their own gardens.
The Steward’s House takes centre stage
The dahlia beds at The Steward’s House are one of the highlights of the weekend, showing off the Society’s most striking displays. It is a chance to see serious exhibition blooms up close, and to talk to the people who grow them about how they get results like these.
Fancy entering your own dahlia?
The People’s Dahlia Competition runs on the Saturday and Sunday, and it is open to anyone who does not grow dahlias for exhibition. If there is a bloom in your own garden you are proud of, bring it along and put it forward. No experience or society membership required, just a flower you like the look of.
