Heligan Locals’ Week: How Cornwall & Devon Residents Can Visit for Free This Spring
Experience Spring’s Arrival at The Lost Gardens of Heligan
The Lost Gardens of Heligan is welcoming residents of Cornwall and Devon to explore its grounds completely free of charge from Saturday 1st to Sunday 9th March as part of Heligan Locals’ Week.
The event offers a unique opportunity to see the gardens as they come to life, with everything from goat grooming to pig tea parties at Cornwall’s only RBST-certified rare breeds farm park.
Discover Rare Blooms and Garden Secrets
Visitors can take in the National Collection Camellia and Rhododendron trail, a self-guided walk showcasing Heligan’s heritage collection at its most vibrant. There will also be daily garden tours and interactive workshops where Heligan’s expert gardeners will share tips on bringing a touch of Heligan magic to home gardens.
Heligan’s 200-acre working estate is home to the UK’s only outdoor jungle, as well as productive gardens and ancient woodlands, making this one of the most enchanting times of the year to visit.
“We Can’t Wait to Welcome Locals”
“Heligan is one of the most spectacular places to enjoy the arrival of spring with our colourful blooms and nationally recognised collection of rhododendrons and camellias – and what better way to celebrate it than to invite our local community to visit for free,” said Laura Chesterfield, Managing Director of Heligan.
“We can’t wait to welcome locals to share the joy of the new season and say thank you for their year-round support.”
Extra Perks for Visitors
As an added bonus, visitors will receive 15% off plants in the on-site shop, offering the perfect opportunity to take home a piece of Heligan’s charm.
While entry is free, visitors are encouraged to support St Petrocs, Heligan’s charity of the year, to help those in need.
How to Claim Your Free Entry
To redeem complimentary access, permanent residents of Cornwall and Devon must pre-book tickets via the Heligan website and provide proof of residency upon arrival.
For more details and to book, visit Heligan’s website.
