Tamar Bridge layout changes on Wednesday as specialist crews move in
If the Tamar Bridge is part of your Wednesday, expect it to look a little different this week.
Specialist drain cleansing works are taking place at the bridge this week, carried out to keep its drainage system clear and working as it should. The update comes from Tamar Crossings, the Tamar Bridge and Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee.

What changes on Wednesday
This Wednesday (21 October), the traffic layout on the bridge will be different from normal so the work can be carried out safely.
The North Cantilever will close between approximately 9.30am and 3.30pm. Local traffic will be diverted onto the main bridge deck while it is shut.
If you’re crossing during the works
Anyone travelling over the bridge in that window is asked to approach carefully and follow the traffic management and signage in place.
Tamar Crossings has thanked people for their patience while the essential works are completed. The North Cantilever is due to reopen at around 3.30pm.
