Weekday Closures Announced for Pennycomequick and Trevalso Underpasses

Cornwall Council confirmed yesterday that weekday closures would be taking place at two underpasses over the coming weeks, with drivers advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.

Pennycomequick underpass closure

Pennycomequick underpass is closed on weekdays between 7am and 5pm until Friday 16th January.

Trevalso underpass closure

Trevalso underpass will also be closed on weekdays between 7am and 5pm from Monday 12th January until Friday 30th January.

Why the closures are happening

The closures are needed to install new underpass lighting and to carry out some minor works.

Diversions and open routes

Signed diversion routes will be in place and marked in yellow. The B3288 and the B3285, which connect to both underpasses, will remain fully open throughout.

The official diversion route is via the B3288 and B3285 to Carland Cross, then south onto the A39, turning right into Ennis Lane, and vice versa.

Drivers are being asked to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.
