Truro City Council Publishes 2026 to 2030 Strategy

Truro City Council has published its 2026 to 2030 Strategy, setting out its key objectives and vision for the city over the next five years.

The document outlines how the council plans to support Truro’s development, with a focus on community, the local economy and the environment.

Vision for the city

The Strategy is guided by a clear vision statement: “A thriving, inclusive and sustainable Truro – where community, commerce, heritage and nature flourish together”.

This vision underpins a series of priorities designed to shape the future of the city.

The council also aims to strengthen the city centre economy, invest in buildings and heritage, and ensure transparent and responsible governance.

The objectives set out in the plan have been informed by feedback gathered through Truro City Council’s 2025 Resident Survey.

This means the Strategy reflects the priorities and needs identified by people living in the city.
