Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean stands out for its unusual terrain, shaped by Roman-era iron ore mining. The woodland features moss-covered rocks, twisted roots and maze-like paths. In Lincolnshire, Ostlers Plantation near Woodhall Spa offers a different kind of exploration, with Second World War bunkers hidden among the trees. The large and varied landscape allows for long walks and new discoveries each time. TikTok user Charliewinship described it as “such a hidden gem”, adding, “how is this in Lincolnshire?”
